Game Artist

The role involves executing visual design from concept to production, collaborating with teams for idea generation, managing project timelines, overseeing game asset and environment development, and ensuring timely completion of high and low poly modeling, texture painting, and advanced animations.

  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development or production;
  • Work with internal teams to generate ideas for proposals and improvements;
  • Collaboration with developers, design team and stakeholders;
  • Maintain projects and communicate clear delivery dates;
  • Participate in design reviews, team meetings, brainstorming sessions;
  • Game asset development and game environment building that include architectural and interior design;
  • Prepare source files for development and supervise implemented graphic;
  • Complete work prior to deadline;
  • High Poly/Low Poly modelling;
  • Texture Painting, UVW, Shading;
  • Advanced animations.
  • Perform other duties, as asked by the manager, which are related to this position and which meet the qualifications.
  • Replace colleagues during their vacations, sick leaves and other absences. Replacement takes place during working time, and it is not considered as additional work;
  • Participate in meetings and regular design reviews;
  • Report to direct manager.
  • Secondary (higher, special etc.) education;
  • Good knowledge of English both verbal and written;
  • Up to 3 years of professional experience;
  • Solid understanding of game art principles;
  • Perfect understanding of game-ready pipeline and workflow (high to low poly baking, PBR material creation, unwraping, sculpting, texture painting etc);
  • Solid knowledge of Autodesk 3ds Max;
  • Solid knowledge of Corona Renderer;
  • Solid knowledge of Unreal Engine;
  • Solid knowledge of Photoshop;
  • Solid knowledge of Substance Painter;
  • Other software knowledge (Blender, Zbrush, Houdini etc) is a strong advantage;
  • Good knowledge of animations;
  • Good knowledge of particle simulations;
  • Knowledge of particle effects, especially Niagara, is a strong advantage;
  • Knowledge of motion design (After Effects preferred) is an advantage;
  • Character modelling and rigging skills is an advantage;
  • Experience working with Git repositories is an advantage;
  • Good understanding of neural networks (Stable Diffusion etc) is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of design trends;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to provide actionable feedback;
  • Ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and others;
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving, passion and attention to details;
  • Understanding of online gaming industry.
