What is the Role:

This role sits on our Investments Team and oversees and optimizes the performance of our fund (Limited Partnership) investments, ensuring alignment with the DCG's strategic and financial goals. This individual builds and maintains exceptional relationships with investment managers, optimizing both our financial return and our sharing of knowledge and idea flow.  The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the market landscape, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of successful investing and allocating to investment managers (primarily venture funds and liquid token strategies).

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with allocators and fund managers to foster collaboration and sharing of industry knowledge and deal flow.
  • Investment Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine fund investment strategies aligned with market trends and firm objectives.
  • Deal Sourcing: Proactively identify and source high-potential investment opportunities with new funds through networking, market research, and industry events.
  • Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial analysis, market assessments, and risk evaluations, to inform allocation decisions.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of LP investments, and partner with Investing Team to increase deal flow and allocations to attractive and competitive investments.
  • Market Analysis: Stay well-informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to inform investment strategies and recommendations.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed investment reports for the Investment Committee, presenting findings and recommendations clearly.

What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in asset allocation, venture capital, or private equity, with a focus on digital assets, fintech, or AI for at least 3 years.
  • Proven track record of successful asset allocation and investing, demonstrated expertise in evaluating investment managers capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the digital asset ecosystem and financial technology landscape.
