About the Role

iCapital is looking for an Associate to join the Governance team. The Governance team is responsible for the oversight of iCapital’s feeder funds, across both private market and hedge funds, which includes the review, evaluation, and approval of certain actions on behalf of the feeders. This role will be responsible for tracking corporate actions from various underlying funds and assisting in default and feeder secondary sales with our external advisor. This individual will have the opportunity to work closely with various teams within iCapital as well as external parties such as third-party General Partners, Legal firms and clients.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ongoing oversight of all iCapital funds including periodic reviews of valuations, cash and expenses. 
  • Assist with drafting fund policies and procedures for discussion and review by the Oversight Committee. 
  • Track corporate actions and requests from underlying funds, help to determine course of action and respond to underlying funds.
  • Coordinate investor communications for certain corporate actions and requests while liaising with clients and legal counsel.   
  • Manage agenda items for biweekly Oversight Committee meetings. 
  • Outreach out to General Partners for any corporate actions and requests, as applicable. 
  • Assist with secondary sale of assets within feeder funds, which includes analyses of funds and pricing, coordination of legal documentation, communication to clients and investors, etc. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 2-5+ years of private equity experience in accounting, compliance, operations or similar function
  • Positive attitude and a desire to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize assignments
  • Capability to operate with a project management mindset
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable interacting with external counsel and advisors and internal team members
  • Interest and willingness to learn about the alternative investment landscape
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills is a plus 

 

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $115,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
