Full-time Speech-Language Pathologist

This opportunity is on site for a school located in Abbeville, South Carolina
Monday to Friday; 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM
Salary: 51,000 to 60,000; negotiable based on experience and degrees

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech/language services based on student IEPs.
  • Collaborate with staff to improve communication programs.
  • Assess and diagnose speech/language disabilities.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic programs based on IEP goals.
  • Assist teachers in identifying and addressing speech/language concerns.
  • Hold meetings with parents/guardians and staff to discuss student progress.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including IEPs and service logs.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide screenings to identify potential speech/language disabilities.
  • Participate in professional development and school meetings.

Additional Duties:

  • Supervise special education staff and assist with classroom management.
  • Assist with other school duties as assigned (e.g., lunch duty, bus duty).

Skills:

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff, parents, and students.
  • Knowledge of speech therapy best practices and current research.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, hear, and speak effectively.
  • Ability to occasionally lift to 25 pounds.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree (required)
  • SC Teaching Certificate (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA (required)
  • Experience in a school setting (required)
  • At least one year of full-time experience as a SLP in a school setting
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
