At StrideUp, our mission is to empower people to achieve their financial and homeownership goals. We provide flexible and ethical home finance solutions, focussing on those underserved by mainstream banks. Our first product enables Muslims to buy a home in a way that’s ethical, interest-free and aligned with their religious values.

You’ll be playing a key role in supporting StrideUp to achieve its growth ambitions, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality services are delivered against agreed service standards.

This is a fully technical role, and you’ll be working with a small cross-functional team on the internal and external facing systems to support our customers and business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Frequently deliver clean, maintainable and appropriately tested code to production
  • Contribute to discussions on the architecture and future state of our platform
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure that proposed changes are feasible and implemented correctly
  • Share your experience and knowledge of best practices with the team
  • Support the production deployment of the platform and respond appropriately to any incidents
  • Ensure code quality, scalability, and security in all development efforts.

Requirements

    • 5+ years of Javascript / Typescript and Java / Kotlin
    • 3+ years of NestJS, React, and PostgreSQL or MongoDB
    • 3+ years of AWS, Docker, Terraform and similar
    • Familiarity with modern development tools and practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
    • Developed business applications, ideally in financial services , with involvement in the end-to-end system design
    • Knowledge of domain-driven design principles
    • A passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
    • Desirable: Knowledge of Salesforce integration
    • Desirable: Previous experience in the lending industry and / or an FCA regulated firm
