Sector Labs is based in Cluj-Napoca and was founded in 2016 as part of EMPG. With a presence in 18 countries and combined traffic of more than 200m sessions per month, EMPG owns and operates property verticals and classifieds platforms in emerging markets.

Soon after we were founded we managed to build some of the fastest classified portals in the world (e.g. bayut.com). Working along with engineering teams in Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Philippines, and Spain we make it our mission to enable and optimize businesses through technology driven by a healthy combination of pragmatism and ambition.

Use your great coding skills to build cool features and improve our high traffic web sites. In the past couple of months, we've been working hard on making one of the fastest real-estate portals in the world (just to give you a hint about the work that we do). Our environment is low on processes and meetings with a strong emphasis on best practices and code quality. We have loosely defined teams of people who put a high value on personal autonomy. Technology

We don't really believe the technology is that important as a recruiting filter so it is not relevant what you already know as long as you are a good programmer in any programming language. You will have ample time to ramp up just fine. But. We know you want to know so here is the stack:

• Python, Django, React, Redux, Express
• Other buzzwords: Universal Web Apps, Machine Learning, Heroku, AWS, Algolia

Requirements

We're looking for people who enjoy programming, are good at it and are not caught up in ideological wars about technology. Someone who is pragmatic enough to realize that life is too short not to use the right tool for the job.

At the moment we're using a mix of Python and Javascript. But tomorrow? Who knows?
