About the role  

Our client is one of the largest 4 health insurance companies in the United States, being within the Fortune 100 companies.  

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions with next-generation capabilities. This person will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment, and will partner with other internal teams to build cutting-edge in-house application infrastructure and deployment technologies to rapidly provision environments.  

Main Responsibilities  

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
•  Build full-stack applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks like Vue.js, React.js, and Angular
• Use Node.js to write/maintain APIs (REST and GraphQL)
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Work in a Scrum/Agile-type environment and deliver upon assigned work in a timely manner
• Maintain modern development standards that adhere to software development best-practices

Job Skills/Requirements
 

- +90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills
- Must live in Honduras or Costa Rica
- 3+ years working with JavaScript and TypeScript
- 3+ years working with Node.js
- 3+ years working with Vue.js (preferred), React.js, or Angular 2+
- Ability to take business requests and break them down into manageable steps to achieve a goal
- Capable of designing a moderately sized software project, putting together a project plan to accomplish it, tracking progress, and executing it with a team
- Able to see the big picture of how systems interact with one another
