Full Stack Engineer - UX Platform

Location Remote - Colombia

The UX Platform team at GoDaddy is responsible for developing and managing several of our cross-cutting user experience technologies such as common navigation, baseline browser-side bootstrapping, and CDN management. Our projects are deployed to and used by hundreds of Front-End engineers across all of GoDaddy's product teams to aid in their mission of helping our small business customers start, grow and run their ventures. We are looking for a strong Senior Engineer to join our team and help deliver a best-in-class experience to GoDaddy engineers and customers. What you'll get to do...

  • Participate in developing features and developer tooling for our common user experience platforms, serving hundreds of engineers across GoDaddy's product teams.
  • Drive and take ownership of significant initiatives, maintaining a focus on quality and performance for downstream teams.
  • Contribute to projects such as deploying Fastify-based APIs for central and partner-run services, enhancing navigation UX, and developing our CDN management system for open-source release.
  • In addition to our platform work, we like to contribute our experience widely. Many of our team members participate in internal "Guilds" and special interest groups as well as external meetups and conferences, giving presentations on their technical expertise. Additionally we like to contribute code and learnings back to the Open Source community (Check our GitHub page: http://github.com/godaddy).

Your experience should include...

  • 5+ years of professional Agile software development experience, with experience building and maintaining RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong experience working with Node.js on the backend.
  • Strong familiarity with git and git-based workflows.
  • Proficiency in core web technologies: JavaScript, CSS3-4, HTML5, React.
  • Experience working in highly agile development teams.
  • Experience working within Amazon Web Services (AWS), or similar cloud service providers.
  • Experience with building Docker containers and deploying to Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient code and create comprehensive unit and integration tests.

You might also have...

  • Familiarity with "last mile" build tools like Webpack or similar.
  • Experience maintaining or working in mono-repos.
  • Working knowledge of web vitals performance metrics, such as "largest contentful paint" and "first input delay."
  • Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary experts to design and implement high-quality features.
  • Contribution to Open Source projects related to the tech stack and domain of our products
