Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
Internal Controls Engineering owns systems and tools to measure and increase operational efficiency of all internal controls throughout Stripe. We build tools for owners of financial, business, and technology controls. We are part of a larger Compliance Foundations engineering organization, and work closely with our partner engineering teams to increase efficiency and predictability of compliance.
You will join one of the teams behind infrastructure platforms used by engineering, security, and business partners at Stripe. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation of high quality compliance applications for internal and external customers of Stripe, while ensuring these applications are reliable and prepared to scale with Stripe’s growth.
You will build solutions that may be “from scratch”, built on top of in-house platforms, or leveraging 3rd party solutions. We expect that working along the team’s technical leaders, you will be able to build software that best meets the needs of Stripe’s customers and execute efficiently on the team’s roadmap. We are a highly effective team, consistently delivering high-impact results while genuinely caring for each other.
We’re looking for engineers with a background in product development, and who are interested in delivering great user experience products to internal and external customers. We’d love to hear from you whether you’ve been working in compliance, security, or infrastructure your whole career, or would like to try your skill set in a new-to-you compliance and infrastructure engineering domain.
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
It’s not expected that you’ll have deep expertise in every dimension above, but you should be interested in learning any of the areas that are less familiar.
