We're looking for a junior to mid level Full Stack Developer to join a cross-functional product team that owns the end to end customer journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest growing scale-ups, and to play your part in fighting climate change and saving our planet.
What you'll do
- Work on a range of exciting web applications as part of a growing ecosystem of frontend apps and backend services
- You will join a dedicated product team working on new propositions and improving existing experiences for both our customers and internal teams
- Collaborate within a dedicated cross-functional squad drawn from a dynamic and diverse team at Octopus
- Ensure a smooth end to end user experience using a modern frontend stack
- Create performant experiences that work consistently across modern browsers and devices
- Care about the code you write and its future maintainability
- Be self-directed but enjoy collaboration, contributing ideas and sharing knowledge
What you'll need
- Experience with React, TypeScript
- Write solid, semantic HTML & CSS
- Value fundamental coding principles and best practices
- Experience with Python or Node.JS
- Be confident taking ownership of the development of a project from inception through to delivery
- Enjoy working with multiple data sources and designing expressive APIs using GraphQL
- Write robust and fault-tolerant software
