We're currently hiring for remote team members in the following states: DC, DE, GA, MA, MD, NH, NJ, OH, PA, SC, UT, and VA. #BI-Remote
We’re AWeber - a remote-first company that helps small businesses around the world form meaningful connections with their customers and grow their businesses using our marketing communication software. We are fanatical about small businesses and we hope you are too!
As a Frontend Technical Lead, you will design, develop, maintain, and support client applications built with React as well as support existing clients built using pure Javascript and other technologies. Our customers don’t have time to waste when it comes to marketing their businesses and this is where you come in - to efficiently develop beautiful, intuitive frontend clients that allow our customers access to exciting new features and functionality.
Every day you’ll work with a team, writing new clients and features enabling our customers to support their businesses. You will set the vision for how we evolve our frontend technical stack and processes to make sure we’re operating as efficiently as possible and staying up-to-date with industry trends. You have a strong point of view and are not afraid to express it, while being open to feedback and other perspectives. You will collaborate closely with other engineers as well as Product Managers and UI/UX Designers. You will propose creative solutions, develop unit and acceptance tests, and stay invested in new ways of tackling problems and creating efficiencies. Additionally, you’ll harness your passion for engineering to stay up-to-date on emerging trends, explore technologies across a variety of stacks, while mentoring and inspiring other engineers.
To thrive as a Technical Lead, you take pride in producing maintainable code that balances many competing priorities while delivering for the customer. You have a passion for experimenting with new approaches as well as consolidating implementations into core components. You enjoy coaching more junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and providing technical thought leadership. You feel energized when you work with a team to deploy a new feature or solve a tough problem. Learning quickly is one of your super-powers and you enjoy technologies and problems that are new to you, eager to share what you’ve learned. You assume ownership over your areas of responsibility, always advocating for improvements and pushing to keep systems updated to current standards.
