Freelance Remote Linguist – Dutch (Netherlands)

Work location: Remote in Netherlands / Work from home

Engagement model: Independent Contractor/ Freelance

Work schedule: Approx. 20 hours over a 1-week duration

Language needed: Dutch (Netherlands)

TransPerfect is looking for a freelance Dutch (Netherlands) linguist to join our team to be part of an innovative project to build a customized speech recognition engine based on real call center data. The ideal candidate would have a postgraduate degree in linguistics with a specialization in phonetics.

Responsibilities:

• Create pronunciations using IPA or SAMPA phonetic alphabet for Dutch (Netherlands).
• Create Pronunciations for all words in a wordlist provided by TransPerfect.
• Use a close set of phonemes to put together the lexicon.
