About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled 2D animator specialising in traditional Japanese anime style for a short film project. The film, exploring the theme of escapism, is intended for submission to prestigious film festivals. This project offers a unique opportunity for an experienced animator to showcase their talent in a potentially award-winning production. While initially a single job, there may be potential for future collaboration based on the project's success.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality 2D animations in traditional Japanese anime style for a short film
• Collaborate closely with the filmmaker to understand and execute their creative vision
• Develop character designs, backgrounds, and animations that effectively convey the theme of escapism
• Ensure consistency in style and quality throughout the animation process

Requirements

• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in anime-style animation and short film work
