Fraud Prevention Consultant

About the Client:
Our client is a leader in the pet insurance industry, working tirelessly to ensure pets receive the best care while maintaining financial integrity. They are now looking to build a comprehensive Fraud Prevention Program and require a dedicated Fraud Prevention Consultant to mentor our Capitex Early Careers interns, develop training, and contribute to their 2025 Financial Crime Fraud Roadmap.

Position Overview:
As a Fraud Prevention Consultant, you will work closely with our client’s team to develop and implement fraud prevention strategies and build a strong training program for our interns. You will be responsible for managing fraud prevention initiatives, mentoring interns, and playing a key role in shaping the organization’s long-term approach to fraud management.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intern Mentorship: Provide leadership and training to interns focused on fraud prevention.
  • Fraud Prevention Strategy: Assist in developing and executing a financial crime fraud roadmap, specifically for the pet insurance sector, with a view toward 2025.
  • Program Development: Design and deliver targeted training for interns and junior staff in fraud detection and prevention.
  • Collaboration: Work with claims teams to identify fraud risks, ensuring alignment with best practices across departments.
  • Scalability and Flexibility: Develop processes to scale intern management, ensuring that the program adapts to the client’s evolving needs.
  • Consultant Deliverables: Oversee the logistics and execution of fraud prevention training, ensuring it is delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in fraud prevention, financial crime, or related fields.
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing teams/interns, particularly in a financial or risk-related environment.
  • Strong ability to design, implement, and tailor training programs for varying levels of expertise.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively with remote teams.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in the pet insurance industry or knowledge of insurance fraud prevention.
  • Involvement in developing financial crime roadmaps or large-scale fraud management initiatives.
