FP&A Systems and Automation Manager

Reporting to the VP - Central FP&A, and working with other members of the FP&A team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial systems utilized within the FP&A department. Your role will involve ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and enhancement of these systems to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities. You will collaborate closely with the FP&A team, accounting team, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to optimize the use of financial systems to meet the organization's strategic objectives.

THE CHALLENGE:

Financial Systems Management:

  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of FP&A systems (OneStream) to produce  budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security within the financial systems.
  • Implement best practices and processes to streamline financial operations and reporting.
  • Working with accounting team to ensure full reconciliation and understanding of actuals data

System Enhancements, Automation and Integration:

  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements to support evolving business needs and processes.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement system upgrades, integrations, and customizations.
  • Evaluate and onboard new technologies or tools to optimize financial planning and analysis processes.
  • Drive automation from raw data to insights generation in various FP&A cycles and ad hoc analysis using cutting edge technologies.

Data Management and Governance:

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Define data structures, hierarchies, and classifications to support financial reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, user guides, and data dictionaries.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Collaborate with FP&A and Data Office team to design and generate financial reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses using system data.
  • Support management in understanding and interpreting financial data to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of financial information to management

User Support and Training:

  • Provide support and guidance to FP&A team and other users on system functionalities, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Be an internal consultant and enabler of new technologies in order to simplify and automate work for individual FP&A team members (scripts, RPA, macros, etc)
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure effective utilization of financial systems across the organization.
  • Act as a liaison between FP&A, IT, and external contractors for system-related issues and enhancements.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience, 3+ years, in a previous financial systems role, preferably within an FP&A/accounting function within a multinational business.
  • Strong knowledge of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Proficiency in using financial systems and tools, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), BI (Business Intelligence) platforms, and Microsoft programs. Experience with OneStream desired, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with RPA (robotic process automation), Python scripts and/or Visual Basic is a clear advantage
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in financial systems and FP&A practices
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Base pay for this position starts from 50.000 EUR gross per annum. The final salary depends on the skills and requirements; there is further eligibility for a company shares + additional annual bonus that comes along with this role and is based on performance and your seniority.
