What You’ll Be Doing

As the FP&A Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our staff costs, operational expenses (opex), and capital expenditures (capex) are aligned with Moonpig’s overall strategic goals. You will own the budgeting and forecasting processes for these critical areas, bringing them up to the same level of efficiency, control, and process excellence as the rest of the business.

You will collaborate closely with senior leaders across various functions to influence decision-making, provide insights, and support key financial planning initiatives.

You’ll be a key player in preparing board papers and managing the upward communication of financial results to senior management. This role offers the opportunity to drive significant impact through process improvements and financial clarity, enabling Moonpig to continue growing and innovating in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for staff costs, opex, and capex, ensuring these areas are fully integrated into the overall financial framework.
  • Prepare and present monthly performance reports and analysis, translating complex financial data into actionable insights for senior management.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial support, ensuring alignment between business objectives and financial outcomes.
  • Continuously review and enhance FP&A processes, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency, stronger controls, and improved collaboration across the business.
  • Support broader finance initiatives by providing insights and financial expertise in key decision-making forums.

About you:

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA or equivalent with at least 3-5 years of PQE.
  • Very strong financial modelling and Excel skills, including building models from scratch
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to drive change at multiple levels of the organisation
  • Ability to take financial and non-financial data to tell a story 
  • Experience as a business partner to Senior Management
  • Ability to create effective and credible partnerships by working collaboratively to support and challenge stakeholders 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with impact 
  • Appetite for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience in managing and developing a finance team
