The FP&A Analyst is responsible for supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, modeling and problem solving skills, with a solid understanding of finance principles.
Primary Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and consolidation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Collaborate with department heads to collect and analyze financial inputs for budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget vs. actuals and update forecasts as necessary.

Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management. Analyze financial data, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate financial and sales performance trends to key stakeholders.

Financial Modeling: Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to support business planning and strategic initiatives. Use financial models to conduct scenario analysis, and provide insights and recommendations based on model outcomes.

Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analysis to compare actual results against budget/forecast. Provide explanations for variances, and suggest actions to address discrepancies. Identify and analyze key drivers impacting financial performance and sales targets.

Ad-Hoc Analysis and Special Projects: Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed, including M&A activities, cost-cutting initiatives, and profitability assessments. Partner with sales leadership on strategic projects to drive sales performance and incentive alignment.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy, compensation calculation accuracy, and reporting quality. Assist in automating and streamlining financial reporting processes.
Requirements for Success:
- 2-4 years in FP&A, doing quantitative data analysis, building financial models, and using data to drive decision-making
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or similar field.
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint; strong data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills (able to interpret and present complex data and provide actionable insights, clearly and concisely)
- Familiarity with GAAP principles, attention to detail, and ability to manage tight timelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Helpful for Success:
- Experience with CRM tools (SugarCRM preferred), Adaptive Insights, and NetSuite.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- B2B SaaS industry experience and strong accounting knowledge.
