As a Formwork Designer at Doka USA, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of formwork systems for construction projects. Leveraging your expertise in formwork design principles, structural engineering, and CAD software, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective formwork solutions that meet project requirements and exceed client expectations. This role will be an in-person role based out of our Lawrenceville, GA branch and will report into the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop formwork systems for a wide range of construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
  • Conduct comprehensive structural analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of designs, considering factors such as load capacity, stability, and material specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create detailed formwork drawings, plans, and schematics, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in formwork technology, and regulatory changes, incorporating best practices into design processes and methodologies.
  • Participate in project meetings, reviews, and presentations, communicating design concepts, progress updates, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing design processes, enhancing product quality, and maximizing efficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field a plus.
  • Proven experience in formwork design and engineering within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of formwork design principles, structural analysis, and building codes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality and innovative solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in project management or leadership roles is preferred.
