- Run analytical tools such as Karl Fischer moisture content, TGA, DSC, Solo-V-Pe, pH-meter, particle size equipment, viscometer, osmometer, density meter, etc..
- Coordinate formulation stability studies, perform testing at timepoints, then compile and analyze the results.
- Provide lab support in the execution of experiments/formulations, protocol development, analysis, data collection, and summary.
- Provide lab support for formulation, fill/finish of injectable clinical supplies, following aseptic procedures.
- Use equipment such as biosafety cabinets, balances, autoclaves, and more for supporting the preparation and manufacture of formulations.
- Set-up and operation of freeze-drying microscopes, lab scale lyophilizers, and spray drying equipment with fundamental understanding and experience with control systems (lyophilization controllers).
- Assists with the cleaning and minor repair/adjustment of parts and equipment.
- Take care of general housekeeping activities such as cleaning bench space, processing equipment and rinsing glassware
- Order, maintain and stock lab supplies such as common excipients, primary packaging materials, gloves, cleaning agents, safety glasses etc.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biological sciences, chemistry, pharmacy or related discipline preferably with 2 to 3 years of industrial/laboratory experience
- Ability to develop and maintain effective, trusting work and customer relationship
- Experience manufacturing formulations, working knowledge of aseptic handling, running analytical tools such as pH measurement, osmolarity, moisture content determination, viscosity, syringeability, turbidity and/or opalescence, particle size determination, etc
- Knowledge of protein degradation pathways and stabilization techniques
- Experience preparing and/or manufacture injectable biological / biopharma formulation or analytical characterization of formulations/biologics is preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
