Our partner is seeking a Format Editor for their Financial Reports Processing team in Southfield, MI. This role focuses on the critical business needs of the organization, including proofreading financial statements and editing electronic documents. The integrated solution approach is designed to help manage growth, leverage resources, and optimize operations while providing consultative services to clients.
Responsibilities
- Implement edits in client financial statements and associated letters and reporting packages.
- Edit and assemble electronic documents outside of firm software, integrating client-prepared documents with firm-created documents.
- Enforce assurance rules and procedures during the editing process to mitigate risk.
- Ensure all approvals are received and appropriate compliance forms are completed for financial statement releases.
- Cross-check critical data between documents and applications for accuracy and address discrepancies.
- Use footing tools to verify values within the financial statements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) Style is preferred.
- Ability to adapt to priority changes with short notice multiple times a day.
- Capability to remain at workspace for 75% - 90% of the work shift.
- Ability to work up to 2350 hours annually, with some Saturdays required.
