ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for maintaining all moving equipment within the plant. Including but not limited to preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- The position will report to the Maintenance Facilities Supervisor.
- Perform all preventive maintenance on lift trucks in the plant, per schedule.
- Perform repairs on all lift truck equipment, fire pumps, generators, welders, etc.
- Order parts needed for repairs.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Make and maintain entries in Famis (Inventory/Repair System).
- Send out parts for repairs such as starters and electric motors.
- Maintain and keep updated records and documentation on forklift activities/issues.
- Follow LOTO procedures.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Attend department meetings. Safety, Lean, etc.
- Perform other tasks as required.

Follow all department and company safety guidelines.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the maintenance department and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair production fleet.
- Must be able to operate various pieces of moving equipment safely.
- Must be able to work independently.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of mechanical maintenance or relevant work experience and general knowledge of internal combustion engines. Experience with hydraulics and electrical diagnostics are a plus.
