Foreign Trade Zone Administrator

THE ROLE

We are actively looking for a FTZ Administrator to join the Boohoo Group Customs team, who will be responsible for leading the trade compliance function in the US.

Compliance of customs regulations is a top priority for the business and you will be working directly with our customs team in the US and UK in this exciting new role as well as cross functionally within the organisation, including logistics, supply chain, sourcing and finance.

We look after the movement of all products from our carefully selected suppliers through our distribution networks until they land in our customers’ homes.  Everything we do is focused on helping the Group become the global leader in e-commerce fashion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be responsible for the administration and compliance activities of the Foreign Trade Zone program, including all importation and exportation requirements, as well as the custody and accuracy of the company’s inventory and customs records.
  • The FTZ Administrator also provides support, training, and mentoring to all staff involved in or impacting the FTZ activities and operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Accounting for all merchandise, both foreign and domestic, admitted to the FTZ facility
  • Filing 214 admissions within 48 hours of receipt using the FTZ software
  • Coordinating, preparing, and submitting weekly 3461 estimates
  • Monitoring cumulative shipments against 3461 estimates and re-filing when necessary
  • Preparing and submitting weekly 7501 filings to the Customs Broker and 7512 filings as required
  • Managing PTT’s and IT’s as appropriate to move shipments to/from ports as required
  • Managing day-to-day stock adjustments in the FTZ software
  • Managing and investigating inventory inaccuracies through the Warehouse Management System/FTZ Software, receiving shipments, processing adjustments and shipping orders.
  • Reconciling daily stock balance between the Warehouse Management System/FTZ System, reporting variances
  • Operating FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping system
  • Assisting with maintaining, the required procedures to ensure compliance by all relevant parties to all required FTZ operational practices and protocols.
  • Providing any other support to the FTZ Program Trade Compliance team, as needed
  • Staying abreast of any US Customs regulations and updates 

MORE ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Finance or another related field desired
  • Experience with foreign trade zone operations, software including weekly summary entries and annual reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong desire to continually review and improve processes
  • The ability to pass a federal background check with US Customs
