We are currently seeking an experienced FMS Engineer SME in support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). The position will provide engineering services for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases supported by PEO Ground Combat Systems (GCS), including system trade-offs, risk management, and configuration management. They will perform engineering analysis, design support, and documentation for FMS vehicle platforms, ensuring system integration and providing recommendations for design changes and lifecycle cost reductions. Additionally, the contractor will support government program reviews, provide technical briefings, and collaborate on contract deliverables, with up to 10% travel, both CONUS and OCONUS.
Responsbilities
- Provide engineering services for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases, including trade-off studies, risk management, and configuration management.
- Conduct system engineering analysis, including hardware/software configuration, safety assessments, and functional analysis.
- Recommend design changes, product solutions, and system enhancements for FMS vehicle platforms.
- Perform engineering analysis of subsystem integration, failure analysis, and lifecycle cost reduction.
- Generate and review milestone documentation for government program reviews.
- Participate in requirements management, technology assessments, and risk mitigation for assigned platforms.
- Address obsolescence issues and provide solutions for FMS vehicle variants.
- Conduct hazard analyses to identify and recommend design changes for safety and health hazard mitigation.
- Provide technical briefings and updates at program reviews and international meetings.
- Support the development of contract scopes of work and other contracting products, including CDRLs.
Qualifications
- Secret Security Clearance
- A Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering from a college or university preferred.
- A Master's degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
- Ten years experience in production and manufacturing or similar, and
- Experience supporting the US Army or DoD including working with/on tracked or wheeled ground combat vehicles in military or civilian capacity (operator, maintainer, logistics, acquisition, or production).
