Job Description

As a Food Technologist at Youfoodz, part of the HelloFresh ANZ Group, you’ll play a crucial role in innovating fresh meal products that customers trust. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Menu Development Team, ensuring our recipes are both scalable and maintain exceptional quality. Reporting to the Food Technologist Manager, you'll play a key role in enhancing product quality, driving process efficiencies, and upholding industry compliance—all while embracing our core value of continuous improvement.

You will…

• Collaborate with the Menu Development Team to review concept recipes, conduct trials, and assess feasibility and nutritional information.
• Liaise with Planning and Operations to schedule and oversee factory trials, ensuring the smooth transition of concept recipes to production.
• Conduct factory trials, train staff, monitor product quality, and document findings in Trial Reports.
• Prepare and manage in-house product and process specifications.
• Set up packing lines for metal detection, weight scale calibration, and inkjet printing. ● Drive ongoing continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to improve product quality, process efficiencies, and reduce costs.
• Perform shelf-life validation, sensory evaluation, and reheat analysis of new concepts. ● Coordinate microbiological and chemical testing, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Generate product information for labelling and assess raw materials for compliance and sensory attributes.

You have…

• 3-5 years of experience within the field
• Tertiary qualification in Food Science and Technology.
• Knowledge of FSANZ and Australian labelling legislation.
  Experience working with Foodworks or similar nutrition software.
• Hands-on experience in New Product Development and implementation.
