We are looking for an engaging and diligent Food Safety & Quality Management Systems Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team at Kepak Merthyr. If you're a proactive individual with a genuine enthusiasm for food safety and quality assurance, this is your chance to make a difference!

Your Role:

In this exciting role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our internal systems uphold the highest standards of quality and food safety. As an Internal Auditor, you will conduct comprehensive audits, assess compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and identify areas for continuous improvement. Your efforts will help us uphold our reputation for excellence!

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting systematic audits of food safety and quality management systems across various departments.
  • Collaborating with teams to identify, document, and address non-conformances or areas of improvement.
  • Providing actionable insights and recommendations to enhance our overall quality assurance processes.
  • Training and supporting teams in understanding compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Ensuring timely follow-up on corrective action plans and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Staying up to date with industry standards and developments to maintain the quality of our auditing procedures.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • A background in food safety, quality management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of internal auditing principles and practices.
  • Food Safety level 2 and HACCP level 2 qualifications
  • Experience with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., ISO certifications) are a plus.
  • A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
