FMD Quality Technician

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our IoT devices. A key responsibility will be to manage and maintain the Full Material Disclosure (FMD) of our product portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Full Material Disclosure (FMD) of our active product portfolio, including collecting and documenting information on materials used in manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as RoHS, REACH, and other environmental directives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes for IoT device manufacturing.
  • Conduct inspections and quality audits throughout the production process to identify and address any deviations from quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing, to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Assist in conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to improve product quality and reliability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of new products by providing input on quality requirements and specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a quality control or assurance role, preferably in the electronics or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to IoT devices, including RoHS, REACH, and WEEE.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and tools, such as ISO 9001 and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a commitment to ensuring product quality and reliability.
  • Good level of English and Spanish
