We are seeking a motivated Flight Operations Intern to support our flight operations team in managing, testing, and optimizing Merlin Labs’ autonomous flight systems. This role is ideal for students interested in gaining experience in flight operations, aviation technology, and autonomous systems. Interns will gain hands-on exposure to flight planning, operations coordination, data analysis, and troubleshooting in a cutting-edge environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of flight tests for Merlin Labs’ autonomous systems.
- Collect, analyze, and report data from flight operations to support performance optimization and regulatory compliance.
- Support pre- and post-flight checks, including troubleshooting and evaluating system functionality.
- Work closely with the engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of autonomous technology into flight operations.
- Participate in continuous process improvement to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of aviation systems, flight operations, or related protocols (experience with FAA regulations is a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
