Position Overview:

Hadrian is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented fixture Fixture Design Specialist (contract) to join our CMM/Quality Team. The role is designed for a recent college graduate or an experienced professional that is looking to gain hands-on experience in CMM programming, quality assurance and final inspection. As a Fixture Design Specialist you will support our CMM programming group with designing fixtures using CAD software and support in other areas of quality as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • CAD Design: Collaborate with CMM Programmers to design fixtures using CAD software.
  • Inspection Tools: Learn and utilize various inspection tools such as comparators, profilometers, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Quality Inspection: Perform full inspection of jobs to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Support Tasks: Assist programmers and quality specialists with various tasks including cleaning the quality room and handling materials.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections and report findings to the quality team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, familiarity with inspection tools and techniques, attention to detail, strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work full-time on a short-term contract basis, with the potential for overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in CMM programming.
  • Experience with CAD design using NX software.
  • Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
