Fire Alarm Engineer – Small Works & Service

From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect and monitor Fire and Security risks for our customers up and down the country. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire Alarm Engineer specifically covering the our Ministry of Defence (MoD) sites around Oxford, Halton, High Wycombe, Feltham & Northolt.

Basic Salary – £33 – 39,000 per annum

Marlowe Fire & Security’s Fire Alarm Engineer’s.....

Carry out all minor works - Fire panel changes / install extra devices and commissioning. This specific role covers our MoD sites across the South East of England, assisting on all MOD Barracks during Accommodation months, attend callouts during the working day and also cover Barracks when Engineers have holidays or sick days.

• Conduct installations and servicing of fire alarm systems in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Carry out routine testing, inspections, and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems.
• Diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs on malfunctioning systems.
• Provide high-quality customer service and technical support to clients.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and provide detailed reports as required.

For this specific opportunity, we are looking for candidates who offer:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in fire alarm installation and maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of current fire safety legislation and standards (BS5839).
• Experience with various fire alarm systems and products.
• Electrical qualifications or an understanding of electrical systems is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Full, clean UK driving licence is required for travel to various client locations.
• Due to the nature of the industry and the high security clearance requirements of the MoD, you will need to clear the following screening requirements: BS7858, BPSS Security Clearance & SC Clearance.
