Responsibilities
- Financial Statement Preparation & Review: Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP/IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Regulatory Reporting: Manage the preparation and submission of all required regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
- Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the integrity of financial data. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Audit Management: Manage the annual external audit process, including coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial reporting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting function.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects as assigned, such as system implementations, continuous improvement etc
- Communication: Effectively communicate financial information to senior management and other stakeholders.

Familiarize with the regional and global reporting requirements and accounting systems used.

Oversee the monthly closing and financial reporting.

Establish good rapport with regional office

Establish a good cadence within the Financial reporting team with clear KPI’s on report timeliness and accuracy
In 6 months:

Provide insightful analytics on financial performance and position of the company

Analyze historical financial data to establish a trend
- Perform Sox controls in relation to Financial reporting

Ensure completion of audits and compliance related tasks.

Collaborate cross-functionally within Finance to deliver set goals and targets

Execute process improvement initiatives

Minimum qualifications:
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a CPA or equivalent professional qualification
- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, including experience in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Experience with SEC and BIR reporting
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
