Key Responsibilities: o   Reconcile complex daily reports o   Ensure compliance with sophisticated client contracts and financial policies o   Create and submit accurate monthly journal entries and billing invoices o   Build and maintain billing related reporting tools and dashboards o   Troubleshoot wide array of reporting issues in connection daily transactions o   Participate in audit testing o   Manage queue of requests/questions in rotation with other team members o   Serve as a cross-functional finance SME regarding revenue recognition and daily billing and payment processes; specifically assisting with modifying features for clients while adhering to contract terms, accounting requirements, and financial controls. o   Understand FinCon goals and needs, communicate and prioritize with other departments Role/Fit Specifics: o   You like and can manage both daily/routine work and special projects o   You enjoy data “puzzles” o   You have a “how could this be better?” mindset o   Natural curiosity about how things work o   You have the capacity to mentally map multiple data sets and program capabilities o   You are both tenacious and meticulous with attention to detail and accuracy The ideal candidate will possess the following: o   Demonstrated experience with accounting month-end functions o   Able to logic through data and reporting problems, with minimal assistance o   Understanding of accounting functions/t-accounts o   At least 2 years' experience with accounting/financial data; or relevant college experience o   Very proficient with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), and BI tools (Jaspersoft, Sisense, ThoughtSpot) o   Ability to follow complex transaction flows; tracing from different points of the process and identify where and why something unexpected occurred o   Effective written and oral communication skills o   Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines o   Ability to manage multiple priorities o   Self-motivated o   Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
