In this role as Financial Modeller, you'll play a pivotal role in DAZN's expansion. Based in our London office, you'll build and support complex cohort forecasting models for our subscribers and financial performance in the future. You’ll work within one of DAZN’s highest-profile finance teams, collaborating across multiple functions in the business to support the CFO and other senior stakeholders. You will work under the guidance of the Head of FP&A/Modelling, but in time the pace of the business will mean you’ll need to develop the ability and business knowledge to work autonomously.

As our new Financial Modeller you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Own the development and support of complex cohort subscriber forecast models
  • Support market finance leads in building their quarterly forecasts, offering high-quality reporting and strategic analysis to Senior Leadership and the CFO.
  • Work closely with data teams to source relevant and quality inputs for the forecast process
  • Foster strong relationships for effectively communicating complex business issues and ensuring timely delivery of outputs.
  • Support the Head of FP&A with DAZN’s Long Range Plan and funding model as required
  • Build models and support analysis in a variety of other potential ad-hoc business contexts, such as due diligence activities or working capital analysis         
  • Coaching and development of a junior modeller                                   

You'll have:

  • Model development experience: Advanced Excel skills and ability to apply modelling best practice principles to new and existing models
  • Financial knowledge: Strong grounding in financial concepts and 3-statement modelling principles
  • Model review: Ability to review models built by others to identify areas of high risk or error
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to logically unwind and interpret complex data sets
  • Commercial acumen: Confidence to question and fully understand the business rationale behind new strategies to ensure that model outputs form a coherent business case and are well supported
  • Resilience: A track record of operating proactively in ambiguous and evolving situations with multiple stakeholders to deliver results against challenging deadlines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the finance function and wider business.
