ABOUT THE TEAM
The Finance Team is Trendyol's control center. The team acts as a bridge between commercial teams and customers in order to provide financial sustainability and efficiency for the company.
We are all working with the same purpose: To create a positive impact in our ecosystem by enabling commerce through technology.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Working closely with regional partners to understand business and financial flows
- Would give directions to Turkish finance teammates regarding to local regulations, financial applications
- Periodic site visits (especially WHs located in the region) to execute Financial Control Procedures
- Cost tracking of WHs in the region, raising flag for unexpected increases in costs of shipping, handling and storage
- Cost tracking of other opex itemsRandom controlling procedures of sales, coin usages, discounts, collection, payment etc.
- Forecast vs actual tracking for over GM items (such as discounts, coupon, coin, profit margin etc)
- Closely monitoring WH capex projects (cost controlling, budget tracking, actual vs forecast variance analysis)
- SKU based Inventory report tracking for aged/scrapped/obsolete/offline sold goods and detalied reasoning and creating solutions for problematic issues regarding to inventories by working closely with Category and other teams.
- Assisting Financial Control team month end closure procedures and activities
- Taking part in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing process,
- Closely monitoring related party transactions with accounting (local gaap, and IFRS based)
- Working closely with regional accounting teams to understand accounting flows and give directions to teams for standardized accounting applications.
Qualities We Are Looking For
- Experience in Audit firms (min 2 years)
- 3-5 years experience as Financial Control, FP&A, Finance Decision Support, Ceo Office or equivalent in reputable companies (Ecomm, retail, fmcg based entities are plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field
- Extended knowledge in MS Office Applications (sap experience is plus)
- Ability of analytic thinking, teamwork, and strong communication, coordination and problem solving skills
- Excellent time management
- Available to travel across the region (Gulf, Azerbaijan or EU) and Türkiye when needed
- English speaking
- Open to change and process improvement, able to initiate process improvements.
