We are now looking for a Financial Controller, who will sit in the financial control team, based in Stockholm.

The essence of the role

As a Financial Controller, you play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data across our group. This encompasses analysing and tracking data flows from platform usage to consolidated actuals, as well as personnel spending from HR systems over ERP to consolidated financials, covering all steps in the financial processes.

The data quality at Sinch is a prioritized area, thus it's important to ensure high quality and accuracy in financial data reporting. You will maintain detailed oversight of account, cost centre, and legal entity level reporting. Also, you will implement controls and processes to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.

As our new Financial Controller, you will:  

  • Oversee and manage the financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate standards
  • Drive ad hoc improvement as well as long term strategic project such as KPI calculations, ERP data in data warehouse.
  • Secure correct accounting and solid process when launching new products.
  • Develop FinOps requirements on product, tech and other organizations both in terms of internal GTM process as well as and standard procedures.
  • Develop a robust product taxonomy all the way from billable line items, into group consolidation as well as into platform data.
  • You'll have the exciting chance to uncover opportunities for enhancing processes within our financial operations and reporting. In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead initiatives that boost efficiency, simplify workflows, and embed best practices throughout all finance-related functions. Additionally, you'll work alongside cross-functional teams to promote automation and elevate the quality of our financial data and reporting.

In order to be successful in this role, we believe you have: 

  • Education: MSc, BSc. Academic degree in either Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or similar  
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Excel (including Power Query and Power Pivots) and PowerPoint is a key strength of yours. ERP and Aaro knowledge
  • Experience: Minimum 5 Years as Financial Controller/Business Controller or similar.
  • Personality Skills: You enjoy working in a fast-paced international environment and have the ability to live and act in a climate of change.  You strive for accuracy and is passionate about financial data. You are an effective communicator with a collaborative spirit aiming to achieve shared goals.
