Financial Controller, 12 Months FTC

As our Financial Controller you will be the key right hand reporting to the CFO,  taking responsibility for all compliance work. Including, statutory reporting requirements, annual audit process, tax reportings and fillings, Insurance, supporting across monthly management accounts. In addition, supporting the VAT team as and when required to ensure external reporting timelines are met, regular balance sheet reconciliations reviews, reporting including VAT returns, supporting our Finance Operations team and accounting / system support for wider business projects. 

Salary for this role is is dependent on experience.

This role and the team are hybrid based out of Telephone House in Shoreditch, London. This role does have in-office expectations because of how we operate as a team and business, and although we’re really open to what those are and how they work, this team does require 3 days a week together in the office. 

We regret that we are not open to fully remote applications right now for this reason, but what we can offer is a flexible working approach which can be discussed per role and a host of team cultural activities and treats in our office.

Requirements

You Will:

    • Review balance sheet reconciliations including, stock related accounts including stock, GRNI/GINR, trade creditors, supplier rebates etc
    • Preparing Statutory accounts for UK entities and managing preparation of overseas statutory accounts
    • Supporting the VAT team and overseeing the process, to ensure the external reporting timelines are met
    • Ensure all UK, US  and other international entities corporate tax filings are completed on timely basis and ensure all insurance renewals are completed on time with accurate information 
    • Support the CFO on projects where we are looking to expand and trade in new territories 

You Have:

    • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
    • Have VAT knowledge
    • Strong accounting system experience - NetSuite experience preferred but not essential
    • Self-disciplined and able to work dynamically adhering to deadlines
    • Previous experience in business with physical stock
