Analyst, Brand Finance

With Wayfair’s aggressive growth comes the need for strong financial partnership, planning, and support across the business. The Brand Finance team works closely with brand General Managers and cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Profit Management, Operations) across all of Wayfair’s brands and sub-entities to translate business initiatives and strategies into expected financial outcomes, plan for future growth and profitability goals, and act as a check and balance for business partner initiatives. In addition to forecasting revenue, Brand Finance leads brand-level P&L creation & analyses, investment modeling, scenario planning, and profitability planning across Wayfair’s businesses.

The Brand Finance team consists of analytical and detail-oriented individuals who enable leadership to make strategic business decisions by providing analysis of business performance and delivering in-depth business forecasting models. We enjoy tackling challenging problems and translating quantitative analyses into business insights and actionable strategies. This is a highly visible role within Wayfair and ideal for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and data-driven environment. 


CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) - Billing & Audit

The position available at this time is specifically on the CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) - Billing & Audit team. CGF Billing & Audit manages the billing operations for Wayfair's Castlegate Forwarding business, as well as assisting with billing disputes and auditing Wayfair data to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.

This position helps enable new CastleGate Forwarding business lines and services, by building and utilizing new data monitors to proactively identify and mitigate risk to invoicing. Gathering and analyzing data on billing disputes to gain insights on how to improve moving forward is also a critical component of the role.

What You'll Do

  • Drive Brand Finance forecasting workstreams for some of Wayfair’s highest growth websites and brands both domestically and internationally.
  • Drive thought leadership; supported by data-driven insights, you’ll help leadership inform strategic, financial, and operational decision-making across the company. Your scope will span long-term business strategy and planning to short term orders forecasts.
  • Strengthen existing relationships with cross-functional partners across Operations, Marketing, and Profit Management, serving as the subject matter expert on Revenue and Ad Spend for your brands.
  • Working with large data sets to identify data issues before they impact invoices
  • Engaging with CGF stakeholders to resolve data issues
  • Working with Wayfair accounting to ensure all CGF financial data is accurately accounted for
  • Engaging with supplier relationship managers and suppliers to resolve billing dispute

 

What You’ll Need 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of transferable experience in a corporate environment, including internship and co-op experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in working with large and/or complex data to drive actionable insights in at least 1 of the following (a) Excel or Google Sheets and (b) SQL, GBQ, or an equivalent
  • Ability to work in an environment that requires being a self starter and team player
  • Ability to simplify complex data, identify core themes, root causes and provide actionable solutions (e.g., critical thinking & problem solving skills)
  • Interest in joining a lean team who takes pride in ensuring deadlines are consistently met and there is a one team mentality to get the job done
  • Detail oriented and enjoys tackling new challenges 
  • Be able to effectively communicate both to leadership within the Finance team and stakeholder teams

Wayfair's In-Office Policy:

All Boston-based corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely the other 1 day of the week.
