In this role, you will be tasked to own and manage the Group Finance Operations function. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the processes and systems used to connect the Finance function to the wider business, including the billing system, ERP (Netsuite), CRM (Salesforce) and internal systems used by various stakeholders. In addition, you will be expected to build out and own the future Finance Operations team roadmap to ensure the business can grow and scale at the pace required. Includes, incorporating new business units, new product lines, changes in commercial models and other exciting projects. This is truly a unique opportunity that will be a great fit for someone who has experience in implementing/ scaling complex systems, great at problem-solving, experience in project management and dealing with cross-functional departments.

How you will spend your time

  • Develop and manage the Finance Operations Team roadmap, including understanding the business priorities and enhancements required to ensure the Finance Operations function can scale and operate efficiently across the business. 
  • Responsible for building out project plans, clearly defining the scope, aligning with relevant cross-function departments, and ensuring projects are executed within required timeframes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Go-To-Market and Revenue Operations teams to ensure Sales and Finance processes are aligned, implementing changes to increase the accuracy and efficiency of teams and systems.  
  • Where system changes are required, work closely with Engineering to define the scope and agree solutions and timelines, including testing and implementation.
  • Assist in executing workstreams required to implement broader company-wide initiatives aimed at driving growth and improvements across the business.
  • Identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities within the Finance function.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of key revenue metrics, including ARR and accounting revenue, by working closely with the Data Analytics and Finance teams to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices and leading billing operations to assess areas for growth and maturity.
  • Responsible for replacing our existing billing system with a better-suited best-in-class billing solution, a complex project that will require collaboration across all major departments. 
  • Managing the Revenue & Accounts Receivable team, handling key processes such as invoicing and overseeing the order-to-cash process.

About you

  • 5 years of experience within finance or a systems/ operations function
  • Ability to follow and understand complex workflows between systems and functions
  • Experience in creating and driving automation and enhancements to systems and processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in SaaS, specifically relating to subscriptions and billing (preferred)
  • Experience in Finance with a related degree, CA/ CPA/ CIMA/ CFA or equivalent (preferred)
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
