About the Role

We are looking for a part-time Finance Assistant to join our small, dynamic team based in the heart of Shoreditch. Fifty-five are a marketing analytics consultancy with ambitious growth plans, and we are looking for an adaptable and resilient Finance Assistant to help us keep our day-to-day finance work on track, and to be a trusted partner to our Finance Manager and senior leadership team. The role would be roughly 3 days/ week and a blend of office-based and homeworking.

Responsibilities

As Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting with accounts payable and receivable activities.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial data.
  • Accurately maintaining and monitoring data in the company's resource and project management systems, ensuring data integrity and timely completion.
  • Contributing to the development of efficient processes.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a similar role (min. 5 years), preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in applying accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
