Finance Operations Manager

Hilversum, Netherlands

Description 

As a Finance Operations Manager, you’ll be reporting to the Global Group Controller. We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeking new opportunities to create impactful work and can handle pressure as well as a changing and international environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the EMEA team(s) responsible for Accounts Payable and Cash & Bank
  • Improve processes to get more efficient as a team
  • Implement the right Checks and balances
  • Dashboard to show improvements
    • Processed invoices and cost reports
    • Timely and correctly posting documents
    • Maintain approval flows and chase approvers to prevent ageing  
    • Monitor ageing and credit notes in the balance list
    • Goal : Reduce Urgent Payments
  • Month end close, in cooperation with accounting
  • Pay invoices in time and in an automated way
  • Cash forecast short-, mid- and long term.
  • International cash planning and funding 
  • Reporting international Daily Cash position to S4 Corporate Treasury team
  • Maintenance General Bank Account Register
  • Credit Card control
  • Assist with in- and external audit 
  • Managing projects, supporting the finance transformation
  • Manage applications like Exact, Zamad, Filelinx (Interfere, Donau)


About You

The essentials

  • Managerial experience
  • Inspire the team and set boundaries
  • Exact (or ERP) knowledge as well as BI
  • Requires a minimum of 40 hours
  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Initiate the finance transformation and improvement initiatives
  • Process and people manager; Soft on people, hard on content

 

Not a must, but a plus

  • Experienced in Forecasting
  • Experienced in Salesforce / Sanskrit
  • Worked in corporate environments.
  • Knowledge of VAT, both Dutch as international
