The Group Reporting team is responsible for the production of the monthly Group consolidation, Group and statutory financial statements and collation of notes in the Annual Report and Interim Results, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards. The team are responsible for wider accounting control and governance including monitoring and understanding changes in IFRS, as well as FRC and Corporate Governance requirements. Working in a business partnering capacity with other finance teams, including Commercial Finance, FP&A, Treasury and Tax, the team helps to drive forward the continuous improvement of month end close processes and leads on technical accounting matters.
What you’ll be doing:
Production of the monthly Group consolidation: P&L, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows, including intercompany account reconciliations, and management of required consolidation adjustments
- Working closely with the Head of Group Reporting to provide accounting guidance to wider finance teams, including the preparation of accounting papers for the auditors and Audit Committee
- Responsible for the preparation of the Group financial statements and notes in the Annual Report and Interim Results, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards
- Ownership of the production of the subsidiary statutory accounts
- Liaise with the external auditors, assisting with queries and ensuring the timely delivery of deliverables by the wider finance team
- Ownership of the Group’s share-based payment models and associated accounting, with scenario modelling for new schemes as and when required.
- Help to ensure that accounting policies are applied consistently within the Group, liaising with other finance teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiencies.
- Review of balance sheet reconciliations for Group-owned areas
- Management and development of one direct report
About you:
- Experienced qualified accountant (preferably ACA or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar role desired but not essential
- Solid understanding of IFRS and wider reporting
- Experience in producing high-quality analysis and reporting
- Experience of influencing and managing stakeholders
