Title: Finance Manager – FP&A

Role Description:
We are looking for an FP&A Manager to join our small but dynamic and fast-paced team. This role will be an integral part of the finance team and the main finance partner to Revenue and Marketing leaders. Responsibilities include the preparation of financial forecasts & analysis with specific focus on revenue, detailed margin variance analysis, creation of sales and marketing performance reporting, building of board/investor materials, and other ad-hoc analysis as required. The FP&A Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the company is able to execute its strategic plans and achieve profitable growth.
This role will help run strategic projects and discussions spanning across every aspect of the business.
What you’ll do:

Complete thorough analysis on the P&L each month and communicate key performance drivers and variances to plan to senior management.

Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting presentations for investors and the board highlighting key business metrics, variance to budget and other relevant trends.

Prepare the annual operating plan by engaging with VPs to build appropriate plans and targets and convert this into the financial budget.

Collaborate with partners to strategize and report on weekly performance, especially related to revenue and marketing. Provide a timelier outlook on short and long-term trends across our merchant base.

Manage relationships with revenue, marketing and merchant success teams to build bottoms up forecasts and provide areas of risks and opportunities in a timely manner.

Provide insightful study of key operational business metrics and communicate findings to respective business partners.

Utilize professional knowledge, business acumen, financial concepts, and company objectives to develop and improve models and procedures.

Complete continuous improvement and automation in existing files and processes. Find feasible workarounds to complicated files.

Continuously work with management to lead improvements in the company's approach to developing key strategies.

Independently and proactively provides solutions to business needs in creative and effective ways.

Analyze and help optimize investments behind key company strategies.

What you’ll bring to the table:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related degree.

6-8 years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or another related field.

Must have: Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statement analysis including balance sheet and cash flow statement.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

High comfort level with NetSuite, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and Power Query is preferred.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $101,346 - $168,909.
