About the Finance Manager Role
We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and collaborative Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a key role within Equal Education Partners, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organisation and ensuring robust financial management and reporting.

The role offers a great opportunity to contribute to an organisation dedicated to education while enjoying a manageable and fulfilling workload. We welcome applicants interested in flexible or part-time arrangements.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly management accounts, divisional reporting, and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Payroll Management: Managing payroll (weekly and monthly)l for internal staff and external supply staff, tutors, and mentors.
  • Bookkeeping: Overseeing accounts on Xero, reconciling financial records, and managing creditors and debtors.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing annual and quarterly budgets and forecasts for all divisions.
  • Team Collaboration: Supporting and coaching team members to improve financial processes and reporting.
  • Compliance: Ensuring timely submissions of payroll, VAT, and other statutory obligations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven experience in financial management, payroll, and bookkeeping.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., Xero) and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
