About the Company

Our client is an innovative direct-to-consumer (DTC) company that offers carefully curated anti-theft hydration packs and bags for live events. With a mission to provide secure and functional gear for event-goers, they focus on design, innovation, and efficiency in their product line. As a fully remote company, they seek a Finance Manager who thrives in a virtual environment while maintaining strong connections with team members across the organization.

Position Overview

The Finance Lead will serve as the primary financial point of contact for the company, responsible for managing all financial aspects, including strategic planning, financial analysis, vendor management, and overseeing outsourced bookkeeping services. This role combines hands-on financial management with strategic business partnership to support company growth.



Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Strategy

  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow planning and monitoring.
  • Create and analyze inventory forecasts, incorporating financial implications.
  • Lead strategic financial planning and analysis initiatives.
  • Generate and present financial reports to leadership.
  • Provide ecommerce-specific financial analysis and metrics tracking.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain regular financial reporting cadences.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Create and monitor KPIs for financial and operational performance.
  • Analyze variance in operational costs, including logistics and production.
  • Prepare special reports and insights for senior leadership.

Operations & Process Management

  • Oversee accounts payable processes and purchase order management.
  • Track and analyze the cost of goods, including Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis.
  • Work with the operations team to optimize financial processes.
  • Monitor and analyze shipping costs and other operational expenses.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
  • Analyze and optimize ecommerce-specific financial metrics.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management.
  • Experience in ecommerce finance and metrics.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial software.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • MBA or CPA certification.
  • Experience in DTC, ecommerce, or event-based retail.
