As the Finance Director of our Finance Service Centre in Hungary, you will lead and oversee financial operations across the country. Your responsibilities will encompass key areas such as Accounting and Reporting, Purchasing, Finance IT, Payroll, Tax, Treasury, and Insurance & Risk Management. You will ensure the smooth execution of daily financial activities, driving reliable and efficient processes, while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
In this role, you will manage accounting and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial closing for all Hungarian entities. Additionally, you will oversee relationships with external auditors, ensure compliance with Group policies, and support business managers in budget preparation and financial reporting.
You will lead credit collection efforts, manage treasury operations, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. This includes maintaining effective relationships with local banks and ensuring financial discipline in areas such as cash flow generation and cost management. You will also be responsible for proposing and implementing corrective actions when necessary to meet financial targets.
In addition, you will oversee payroll and HR administration, ensuring all employees are properly managed and paid in accordance with local laws. In the purchasing area, you will contribute to sourcing strategies, optimise procurement processes, and manage costs while ensuring that service and quality standards are upheld.
Finally, you will manage Finance IT projects, ensuring the successful implementation of standardised processes and systems across finance and purchasing functions. Working closely with Group Finance, you will ensure that these processes align with the company’s broader goals and strategies.
To be successful in this position, you should have a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, along with 5 to 8 years of professional experience, including at least 2 to 3 years in a similar role. Previous audit experience and work within an accounting firm will be beneficial, and experience in National Service Centres (NSCs) or Shared Service Centres is advantageous.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
