The Finance Controller (m/f/d) will be a member of the EMEA Finance team and the Business Unit Germany and will report directly to the EMEA Controller.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive controller who will be responsible for leading all day-to-day accounting activities for our operations in Germany. In addition, the role will lead the month end close process from start to finish and ensure proper financial reporting for our Germany business. You will proactively lead the discussions on contract reviews, financial analysis, control performances and work together in a seamless and professional manner.

The workplace for this role is either in our office in Berlin or Erlangen. Our hybrid working model involves working in the office 2 to 3 days a week.

Your tasks:

·  Lead the day to day work of external & internal parties supporting on the accounting as well as being responsible for the complete accounting process for Germany
·  Develop the financial administration for Germany
·  Lead the local financial statement close process (US GAAP and HGB) and be responsible for reporting monthly results and analysis
·  Develop long standing trusted relationships with various internal and external parties and collaborate seamlessly in a professional manner to ensure financial compliance in Germany
·  Develop, lead and implement process improvement initiatives
·  Lead statutory and group audit procedures and perform efficient audit management
·  Develop efficient and effective internal control structure
·  Lead SOX compliance and reporting
·  Consider and balance technical accounting requirements and operational business needs
 
Your skills & qualifications:

·  Master’s degree in accounting or business administration
·  At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience
· In-depth knowledge of US GAAP / relevant statutory GAAP regulations
· Certified Public Account/Chartered Accountant qualifications are considered a strong plus
· Experience with ASC-606 and percentage of completion construction agreement
· Good communicator, good stakeholder management skills and a proactive personality
· Ability to work in a dynamic organization, embracing change and working independently
·  Hands-on and a pro-active self-starter with a proven track record of grit and determination to drive process improvements
· Strong German and English verbal and written language skills are required
