We are seeking a pivotal role in our company, a Finance Business Partner/ Project Manager. Reporting to the Commercial Director and working closely with the commercial team, you will be responsible for handling and supervising various projects' financial matters. This includes budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis to ensure that all projects are financially sound and comply with company rules and regulations.
The role involves working closely with project managers and department heads to lead, gather, and validate budget inputs, ensure alignment on financial objectives, and provide financial guidance and support to project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads to gather and validate budget inputs.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and allocation of resources.
- Monitor and track project expenditures against the budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for project stakeholders, including budget vs actual analysis, cost projections, and economic performance metrics.
- Conduct financial analysis to support project decision-making, including cost-benefit analysis and financial risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and company policies.
- Assist in the development of annual project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Update and review forecasts as project projections change, providing timely and accurate financial information.
- Work closely with project managers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial objectives and project goals.
- Facilitate effective communication between finance and project teams, ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
- Provide financial guidance and support to project teams to enhance financial literacy and decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of project financial management.
- Develop and maintain financial procedures and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, incorporating them into financial processes as appropriate.
- Assess and manage financial risks associated with projects, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Conduct financial audits of projects to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide a broad range of financial support services for general company activities as needed.
Requirements
You:
- A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
- And/or a degree in a relevant subject combined with broad relevant experience in project finance (or able to demonstrate a combination of qualifications, skills and relevant experience at an equivalent level)
- Demonstrable experience in providing comprehensive accountancy and finance support services.
- Experience and knowledge of costing and resource allocation models would be advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and straightforwardly
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365, Excel and other business and finance information systems.
- Strong analytic skills and proficiency in financial modelling and analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies is a plus.
- Exceptional organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure while ensuring accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
