Finance Associate

Multigate is looking for an individual with thorough financial market knowledge, analytics and reporting skills to join our finance department. This individual will be responsible for updating internal systems with financial details, as well as creating and presenting financial reports.


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Accurately record all daily financial transactions, ensuring that our financial records are complete and error free.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheets, a fundamental tool for monitoring our financial position.
  • Process invoices promptly and accurately, facilitating seamless financial transactions with our partners and vendors.
  • Record and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring that financial obligations are met and funds are received in a timely manner.
  • Update our internal financial systems with the most current and accurate financial data, allowing for real-time financial insights and decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that provide valuable insights into our financial performance.
  • Reconcile bank statements to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and maintain a clear financial picture
  • Actively participate in financial audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing support to auditors as needed.
  • Track bank deposits and payments to maintain transparency and control over our financial activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, providing critical financial data and insights to guide financial planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in the review and implementation of financial policies and procedures to support the maintenance of financial best practices and compliance with internal and external standards

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • Experience using financial software
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Professional Qualification such as ACA or ACCA is an advantage
