Why you will love this opportunity as Finance Analyst at Civica

Finance Analyst will support key month-end activities and reporting to ensure our FP&A and GL systems are up to date. Additionally, the role will focus on process improvement, automation and best practice implementation. It will involve ensuring one version of truth and interlock between our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly finance systems processes to ensure deadlines are met, incl. creating and publishing reporting packs and supporting colleagues in timely completion
  • Take ownership of data preparation, cleansing, and reconciliation for month-end and ad-hoc data loads
  • Work as part of a team to deliver continuous improvement of finance systems, models, and processes. The ideal candidate would complement the team with SQL/VBA skills
  • Assist with new package development and subsequent updates incl. setting up SQL integration tasks, UAT, report/model writing, and data
  • Continuously and proactively seek improvement to the system and how it’s used across the group by understanding stakeholders' requirements and challenges

Requirements

  • Finance qualification and/or proven understanding of management accounting processes
  • Passion for systems, data, and process improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and Excel skills in working with large data sets
  • Team player with collaborative approach that builds strong network of finance and non-finance colleagues globally
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability and drive to operate independently
  • Comfortable challenging status quo and operating outside a defined role remit or profile
  • Structured and logical problem solver with a proactive approach - initiates action and change before a problem arises
  • Strong attention to detail and self-review process to ensure consistently high-quality output
  • Excellent organisation skills to manage multiple conflicting priorities

Good to have:

  • Knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning or similar FP&A cloud system
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Software / Tech / Services environment
  • Proven SQL/VBA proficiency in delivering finance-related projects – nice to have
  • Power BI or similar dashboarding tool experience
