Finance & Accounting Manager

As the Finance & Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in achieving this goal by overseeing transactional finance for Ireland, collaborating closely with Shared Service Centers to ensure seamless operations. You will report to EMEA Head of Controlling and you and your primary responsibilities will encompass a range of critical functions including accounting, taxation, administration, and financial control.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end closures, ensure timely and accurate delivery of group figures across all relevant entities.
  • Oversee the accuracy of financial entries, manage disparities between local and IFRS reporting, anticipate accruals, analyse budget variances, and prepare local-based budgets while implementing cost-accounting and cost-controlling measures.
  • Manage the pertinent underlying documents, including payroll, accruals, and inventory, to ensure accuracy in accounting entries.
  • Oversee tax compliance ans statutory requirements, liaising with external experts, and ensuring these are filed in full compliance with local and group requirements.
  • Collaborate with F&A/controlling teams to support budgeting and monthly reporting activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the group and statutory audits, managing the relationships with auditors and relevant third-party experts.

About You:

  • 4 years+ experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably in the industrial sector.
  • Proficiency in IFRS, local GAAP and tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in Excel and IT and process optimisation oriented.
