Field Service Engineer* (Metal Recycling) Italy

TOMRA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Italy. As a key member, you will be responsible for providing support to our customers in Italy. This role is ideal for those with an adventurous spirit, as there will be lots of travel, mainly domestic across Italy and occasional trips abroad.

You will receive all the necessary training at our training center in Germany, as well as  practical experience in the field with the support of your experienced colleagues.

Your tasks

  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance, optimization, and repair of sensor-based sorters at TOMRA Recycling installation bases.
  • Ensuring maximum performance of TOMRA sorting systems in the field.
  • Delivering exceptional customer experiences through effective communication and support.
  • Optimizing the sorting systems/process by sampling and testing.
  • Identifying opportunities to add value to our customers' businesses through the introduction of complementary TOMRA products, solutions, and services.
  • Acting as a link between our customers and Headquarters – collecting and providing feedback from the market so that we can continuously look for new opportunities for our customers.
  • Completed secondary technical school (FP2) or higher with a specialization in electrician/electronics, automatics, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
  • Reside within approximately 200 km radius of the Brescia area.
  • Willingness to travel 80% or more within Italy.
  • Work experience in an industrial environment with a focus on on-site preventive and curative maintenance would be a big plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and x-ray technology.
  • Proficiency in computer programs, PC configuration, network structures.
  • A certain talent for communication when dealing with people - in our case, these are customers.
  • Native in Italian and proficient in English.
  • Full clean driving license required.
  • Knowledge of the metal scrap business and recycling processes is a plus.
